Welcome to the

Solano Inmate Family Council

As a visitor to a California prison, it’s helpful to be informed of rules, regulations and the latest news. As a friend or family member of someone incarcerated in this state, it’s vital to make connections that support you and your loved ones.

The Solano IFC Website is here for you. We provide links, updated information, forms, CDCR Memos, and resources that enable you as a visitor at Solano prison to access the information you need, when you need it.

Please contact any IFC members by email or on-site during visiting hours with any suggestions or comments or questions.

If you wish to visit, you must be an approved visitor. Your inmate must send you form #106, visitor questionnaire, with his signature to fill out and return. Please mail your filled out questionnaire to: Attn Visiting, P.O. Box 4000, Vacaville, CA 95696

This site is not a state-sponsored website. We are a volunteer organization, and are NOT part of the prison staff or administration.

Be sure to check the Solano hotline before visiting. 1-800-374-8474

Update: May 6th, 2015-

As many of you have found out there were multiple issues that happened at Solano prison these past few days. Unfortunately, the media found out before IFC did.

Administration has confirmed one death and riot and are conducting an ongoing investigation as to those involved and at this point there is minimal information available.

In addition, there is a bug going around, it has not been confirmed as any certain strain. Some buildings affected have gone on quarantine, and this prevents anyone in that bldg., sick or not…from working, visiting etc.

Here is what IFC was sent from Warden Arnold’s office.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO CHECK THE HOTLINE AND VPASS MESSAGES BEFORE YOU ASSUME VISITING IS ON OR OFF FOR THE YARD AND HOUSING OF YOUR LOVED ONE.

.(from Warden’s office today, 5/6)  As it stands now Level II has resumed normal program with the exception of building 21 and now building 19 related to a medical modified program.  The earliest building 21 would be allowed to visit would be Sunday.  I don’t believe 19 will be allowed to visit this weekend.  At this time it is anticipated that B yard will have visiting and be back to normal program.  A yard will most likely not have visiting or be returned to normal program.

REMEMBER Hats, gloves and scarves are allowed now… Oct. 31-March 31…
